The WIC Program promotes breastfeeding as the primary method of feeding babies. PHFE WIC is a leader at the local, state and national level in breastfeeding promotion and support. At PHFE WIC, breastfeeding promotion and support include the following:

• Lactation rooms or cubbies at all WIC Centers
• Breastfeeding group education for participants
• Breastfeeding individual education for participants
• Breastfeeding support groups
• Electric breast pump loan program
• Breastfeeding Helpline
• Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program
